A Brief History of LasX

  • 1998

    LasX founders open the first company focused on high-performance laser processing of flexible materials.

  • 1999

    LasX starts designing and building industrial Laser Processing Modules (LPMs) – the core engine for processing flexible materials.

  • 2000

    LasX releases first-generation controller for model-based laser depth control and parameter adjustment.

  • 2005

    LasX receives US patent for controller for a laser using predictive models of materials processing.

  • 2008

    LasX opens its first sister company, FlexPak Services, to provide complete technical support from package design to full-scale production for easy open and breathable packaging.

  • 2012

    LasX opens MicroMed Solutions to partner with biotech innovators to deliver cost-effective and reliable point-of-care solutions under ISO 13485 certification.

  • 2016

    LasX expands its global reach by opening LasX Europe in Frankfurt, Germany.

  • 2017

    LasX receives US patent for metal belt for laser material processing.

  • 2019

    LasX receives US patent for modeling of a laser output from a pulsed laser to achieve a consistent cutting process.
