LasX Completes Facility Expansion, Increasing Research and Development Opportunities
SAINT PAUL, MN, June 8, 2011 – LasX Industries, Inc., a leader in laser digital converting equipment and services, has completed a 10,000 square foot facility expansion in order to expand its Research and Development activities. The new space will facilitate the continual progress of LaserSharp® technology by expanding research and development capabilities through both additional equipment and employees.
In April the Research and Development department began relocation from its original location at the LasX Headquarters in St. Paul to a new space adjacent to LasX’s LaserSharp® Equipment Division located in White Bear Lake, MN. The addition includes over 4,000 square feet of new office space for the growing department as well as an adjoining 6,000 square foot production area. The new production space will house LaserSharp® systems dedicated to customer application testing, prototype production, and process development. It will also include specialized test equipment used to further develop LaserSharp® controls features and LightGuide™ software releases.
