Laser equipment for Battery & Energy

Buy the equipment

FoilPro™ runs coated and bare foil roll-to-roll, with LaserSharp® modules on NIR and green sources, nanosecond through femtosecond, and the tension control, splice handling and extraction a metal web needs. No tool-wear drift to manage across a run. We measure burr height in the trial. The parameters are proven on your chemistry in the lab before anyone quotes a machine.

Equipment for this work

ExactCore

ExactCore is the LasX machine you start on.

FoilPro

The roll-to-roll laser machine for metal foil — bare and coated, copper and aluminum — on webs from 600 mm to 1,800 mm, with the tension control, splice handling and extraction a thin metal web needs.

LaserSharp LPM

The patented laser processing modules that power every LasX platform — matched to the material and process, sharing one control and software architecture — and drop into converting lines LasX did not build.

SheetPro

Large-format laser processing of sheets, boards, and plates on a static bed — 800 × 1,000 mm, 4 × 8 ft, or 5 × 12 ft — with a LaserSharp® LPM travelling overhead on an XY gantry.

What it changes

  • Edge condition on coated electrode foils — burr height, coating recession, and debris measured against agreed limits
  • No cutting blade to wear — we measure edge consistency over the agreed production run
  • Femtosecond processing where the heat-affected zone must approach zero

How we de-risk this before you commit

  • Edge quality documented with micrographs per trial

Questions we get asked

What about particulate and debris on electrode cuts?

Measured, not assumed. We characterize debris generation and edge quality per material and parameter set in the lab, then design the extraction to that result. For cell materials the data is the deliverable that matters.
