Large-format sheet processing

SheetPro™

SheetPro is a large-format laser workstation for sheets, boards, and plates. The bed stays still and a LaserSharp® LPM travels above it on an XY gantry. Standard beds are 800 × 1,000 mm, 4 × 8 ft, and 5 × 12 ft.

Square-bed precision work at 670 × 670 mm and below runs on ExactPro™. Beds above 5 × 12 ft, odd aspect ratios, more than one LPM, or full automation are quoted as custom equipment.

Configure-to-order

  • Bed — 800 × 1,000 mm, 4 × 8 ft, or 5 × 12 ft
  • Cleanroom-compatible configuration
  • Femtosecond LPM — configure-to-order. Field size and throughput for femtosecond work are established on your material in the trial.
  • Laser source selected on your material
  • µVerify™ — in-line inspection that measures feature size and position and feeds closed-loop control of the laser parameters, plus Pulse beam confirmation. Which features are measured depends on the application.

On a large sheet the part is the thing that is hard to move. SheetPro leaves it on a static bed and moves the module instead, so a 5 × 12 ft plate is processed where it was loaded. Registration reads the sheet as it actually sits and compensates the toolpath for it.

Questions buyers ask

Does the bed move on SheetPro?

No. The bed is static and the LaserSharp® LPM travels overhead on the XY gantry. That is what lets the format scale to 5 × 12 ft without a moving-table footprint twice the size of the sheet.
