ScoreLine™
ScoreLine is the LasX easy-open module for bag and pouch production. It mounts on the pouch-making machine you already run and puts a down-web laser score on both sides of the folded film in one pass, held to the same depth from slow speed to top speed, so the finished pouch opens cleanly along its tear line.
Multi-module scoring, perforation and shaped features on a 600 to 1,800 mm web run on FocusPro™.

Both faces scored in one pass
One LaserSharp® Module above the folded web and one below score both walls of the pouch in a single pass, so the tear lines on the two faces land where the design puts them.
Two ways to mount
ScoreLine mounts in one of two configurations, CDI or FX, matched to the host machine. The CDI mount sits within the host line without adding to its length.
Each laser controlled on its own
The two lasers are controlled independently, so each face of the pouch gets the score its film layer needs.
Same depth from slow speed to top speed
Proton λ control adjusts laser output in real time, so score depth holds through the stops, starts and speed changes that pouch making runs on.
Recycle-ready films
Scores polyethylene, polyester and the mono-material structures converters are moving to. FlexPak, the LasX sister company, produces its PrimeTear™ easy-open feature on recycle-ready polyethylene films with this process.

ScoreLine is an easy-open scoring module for pouch-making lines. It mounts on the host machine in one of two configurations, CDI or FX, and two LaserSharp® Modules score the folded web from above and below, so both walls of the pouch carry a tear line from a single pass. Each laser is controlled on its own, and Proton λ holds score depth from slow speed to top speed.
Easy-open is now expected on a pouch. ScoreLine exists so a converter can meet that expectation on the pouch machine already on the floor.

When do I need FocusPro instead of ScoreLine?
ScoreLine is a scoring module — two LaserSharp® Modules sized for pouch lines and mounted on the machine you already run. For multi-module scoring, perforation or contour cutting on a wider web, FocusPro is the machine built for it.
