Textiles

LasX builds wide-web laser processing systems for textiles — denim finishing, upholstery, furniture fabrics, and technical textiles — where the beam cuts and edge-seals synthetics in one operation.

What LasX equipment does in Textiles

Nested printed textile parts laser-cut on a wide-web machine
Cutting

Printed textiles, cut in register

Nested parts cut in register to the print, with best-fit distortion correction for fabric that has stretched or skewed since printing. On suitable synthetics the beam seals the edge as it cuts — no fray, no overlock.

LaserSharp® modules process webs to 2,000+ mm. They cut and edge-seal synthetic fabrics in one pass, in register to print or weave where the design demands it.

  • Cut and edge-seal synthetics in one operation — no fray, no overlock
  • Wide-web formats to 2,000+ mm (80")
  • Digitally printed textile finishing in register
Have us make the parts

Have us cut the fabric

Contract cutting of technical and decorative textiles — development runs and production without dedicating a line.

  • Prove the finished product before committing capacity

The laser's oldest textile trick is still its best: on suitable synthetics, it seals the cut edge as it cuts. We verify edge strength and appearance on your fabric.

See it run

Nested textile panels cut on a conveyor (2021) — White fabric feeds in, the laser cuts a nest of panel outlines, and the cut panels ride out on the outfeed — no dies or knives.
Printed textile shapes cut on a conveyor — The laser follows each printed outline and the cut shapes ride out nested on the belt. A new design is a new file, not a new die.

Questions we get asked

Does laser cutting melt the fabric edge?

On synthetics, controlled melting is the point — it seals the edge against fraying as it cuts. We tune edge appearance per fabric. Naturals behave differently, and we evaluate those in the lab.

The fastest way to find out is to send us the material.

Trials in the PhotonX lab come back as processed samples and a written report — not a proposal.
