Flexible packaging contract work runs at FlexPak Services, the LasX sister company, on LasX equipment. Prototype quantities through production volume, while you validate the feature or build the business case for your own line. Most LasX packaging machines started as a FlexPak job. PrimePeel® and PrimeVent® are FlexPak's registered packaging brands, and PrimeTear™ is FlexPak's patent-pending easy-open scoring process.

Questions we get asked
Will laser processing affect seal integrity?
It depends entirely on the structure and the feature. Score depth relative to the sealant layer is the controlling variable. A lab trial answers that definitively and a specification sheet does not. Send the film.
How does this compare to mechanical perforation?
Mechanical perforation is limited by pin geometry and wears with use. Laser perforation holds hole size and pattern digitally, changes pattern without a tooling change, and can produce hole sizes and densities that pins cannot.
